Chip Brown sees the future apparently.

Herman's agent - Armstrong - had gotten far enough along in discussions with LSU that the two sides were nearly in agreement on terms in a letter of memorandum, a source close to the situation told HD.

Sources close to the situation said LSU interim coach Ed Orgeron would likely be the frontrunner for the Tigers' head-coaching job if Herman was pulled away by either Texas or Oregon. Sources said Oregon mega-booster Phil Knight met with Herman last weekend and the two really hit it off. Current Ducks' coach Mark Helfrich is 4-7 heading into Saturday's season finale against Oregon State.

Why is an article about tomorrow written in past tense?

So depressing that LSU put all its eggs in the basket of a coach who doesn't even want to come here while making it known if Herman turns them down they won't even do a coaching search but will instead just give it to the d-line coach. Alleva most be fired.

On this I agree. If Alleva doesn't get his arse on a plane and sit at Hermans door and not leave until he signs, he should be a gone pecan. Alleva botches this he should be adios.

Fenves, who spent more than 20 years as a faculty member and engineering dean at Cal, was very sensitive to the fact Strong was the first African-American men's head coach in Texas history and wanted to see him succeed. But the combination of Strong's struggles in Year 3 along with the rising star of Herman, a former grad assistant at Texas (under Mack Brown in 2000), just 200 miles south of Austin reduced the patience of the fan base and a group of big-money donors enamored with Herman.

This paragraph pretty much sums up this fricking fiasco that's identical to ours last year. They have a fricking PR department and ours are apparently fricking morons.

Not only did they manage to hook-line-sinker this site, but they also managed to sugarcoat their dysfunction, mitigate their racism, shield their boosters, and make LSU (or in this case, Alleva) look like a bitch.

Jesus tittyfricking Christ we have a fricktard for an AD.
