The news of Sark getting the Bama OC job pretty much proves that Random was passing off rumor as inside info.

I've defended Random because he's been right in the past, but this is deserving of being banned.

If Sark is the guy it's kind of a slap in the face to him to let Kiffin coach the playoffs no?

Like please, why would Bama want an OC who was recently fired from NC ST for not being able to incorporate all of the available weapons?

You just hired an alcoholic who was fired from his last job.

And there was something behind the scenes personally. Not on the field for Canada

Both are pass first. Saban will have to instruct Sark on the importance of the run game just as he did Kiffin. Expect some more prime time sideline arse chewing a to happen.

Ya'll got the guy you wanted. We got the guy we wanted. Thrilled with the pick, if he falls off the wagon we have napier.

For everyone who said bama insiders said he was drunk, the lsu fan base should know not to listen to sauces.

Not the first heavy drinker Bama has had as a football coach. Just sayin

Different time back then.

Hell most of the "legendary coaches" in the SEC would have never made it in today's world of everyone taking pictures and posting things.

That drunk is a damn good coordinator.

Like I told my Texas alum friend after the Herman hire, there are such things as functioning alcoholics.

Sark wasn't just drunk on the weekends, he was drunk on the job at USC.

Sign of a true alcoholic, and not even a functional alcoholic at that...

OC whose name you didn't know until 2 weeks ago.

Funny considering the reason people know Sarks name has nothing to do with football.

Functioning alcoholics are definitely drunk on the job. Hence the term.

On the contrary, a functional alcoholic can function drunk and can still manage his daily functions work, skills etc.

Sark was fired because he was belligerent and incoherent at work and could no longer function.

Hence, "wasn't even a functional alcoholic".

I was asking bama fans how you feel, objectively, about the hire.

What changes do you expect to see on offense?

Would you have preferred to see someone else brought in?

Keeping in mind, the easy answer is to have complete trust in saban in terms of hiring assistants.... I'm interested in y'all's honest thoughts about this.

You don't have to answer obviously, but it'd be nice to have some mature discussion on the board for a change.

Initially I wasn't happy when Saban hired Kiffin. I knew he was a great OC, but had concerns about his character. I've learned to trust Saban's judgement on who he hires.

Sark is great OC/QB coach too. With Hurts & Tua it's obvious Bama's offense will remain DTQB-based & multiple, flexible, adaptable. Sark's already set knowledge-wise to take over seamlessly.

Saban has a backup OC available in Napier if Sark relapses.

I like the hire and ain't worried at all about it.
