Worked with Stoops at FSU. Would be a solid hire and he would bring the balance Stoops is looking for.

Mainord has also apparently been let go as well.

Happy for Gran. He was always a favorite assistant while at Auburn and helped develop some outstanding RBs. Had Carnell Williams, Ronnie Brown, and Brandon Jacobs all on the same roster one year

Stoops is just firing dudes to save himself from getting fired. In due time. Gran is nothing special.

I think he's overreacting firing all these people. Phillipa didn't leave him jack shite. I would hire a new wr coach tho every time I see UK they dropping shite

Stoops and Dawson were not seeing eye to eye. It carried over into the locker room, he had to get rid of Dawson. Stoops wants more balance and Dawson at times had some "herp and derp" play calling throughout the year. No matter what, Stoops will have 2 more years to get it right.

That was four years ago. Stoops' first class were juniors this year. There was plenty of talent on paper, but it wasn't performing. Coaching and play calling was absolutely the issue. Maybe Stoops himself might be part of the problem but I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Plus his name is very close to Eddie Grant who created the song "Electric Avenue."

There was speculation Gran would be Smart's OC, I think it would be a quality hire by Stoops.

Would be a good hire, but I don't know that our fanbase will be patient enough if his offense doesn't take immediately. I'd be perfectly fine waiting it out but most will want Stoops gone next season if he doesn't get back to a bowl game.

Mainord had to go though. We've had absolutely no progression at WR under him.

A good deal want him gone this year.

He's here for another 2 years, regardless. Just hope he hires an OC that has his style in mind.

Good for Eddie. Always liked him at auburn. Was actually searching him a couple weeks ago to find out where he was and read he has had some really good offenses at Cincy. He can recruit with the best of em too.
