The most stable head coaching job in the country is not Texas, it's Notre Dome, it's not USC, it is LSU. LSU is going to get who they want, because of their easy access to talent, because of LSU's loyalty to their coaches even their assistants. LSU pays the top salaries, offers the most talent and offers the most loyalty. Now who is it that's being played is another story, could be Fla State, could be a number of other major schools, just not LSU.

Welcome coach whomever you are, LSU fans look forward to your arrival and look forward with great anticipation your destruction of the Tide and the myth!

LSU should be number one choice for coaches out there cause even if you suck you will get to stay here for much longer than you deserve and the fanbase will love you as long as you are a "good guy" or talk like an idiot.

This year has been shocking so far and on so many levels, expect that trend to continue.

and win over 100 games, a natty and a couple of sec championships.

As far as talking like an idiot..... in Louisiana, that's required.

Wow. I guess Texas doesn't have access to talent or $$ to pay their coaches. They kept Mack brown way to long and they have a much easier road to winning a championship than LSU. The only thing LSU offers tna Texas doesn't is the opportunity to play in the best division in the best conference.

I'm missing something. How many coaches has LSU had since 1976?

I know of one school that has had 2.

Like what was stated earlier, this is the year of shocking surprises. No one should doubt that!

LSU program is the complete package compared to Texas. Texas U. has too many bosses that a head coach has to answer to, and Louisiana has too many recruits that will only answer to LSU.

From the outside looking in at each conference:

1. LSU is football crazy, recruits like crazy, and just needs some offense to consistently put them over the top of Bama (the best team in college football); and

2. Texas has serious issues, doesn't play well with others, and is a mismanaged corporate enterprise that will blame anyone but themselves.

...

3(c). Notre Dame hasn't been Notre Dame for a while and Brian Kelley reminds us all that hiring a coach is a gamblers game for any program and that it rarely works out because there just really aren't that many great coaches out there.

There's that long-worn tradition of aggies being willing to cut their nose off to spite their own face in order cut into Texas.

Meaning, hoping your newest rival that you play every year (LSU) gets the hot commodity coach instead of a team you don't even play any longer... Sad!

You're playing ignorant intentionally, I see. Well, simply ask any Alabama fan about Alabama football. Saban needs his asss whipped bad on the field, then he'll be ready to retire, just like LSU did once before with the Bear. I want to see the Bama myth destroyed, again by another LSU coach.
