So is Gary Crowton gone or not?

Please tell me this whole Michigan thing isn't being used as a distraction to divert attention away from the elephant in the room - Gary Crowton's putrid offense.

He's gonna be back. His offense can be good like in the Cotton Bowl. Hopefully either better qb play out of a senior or new guy will elevate it.

Miles will not fire a coach, he will wait for GC to get a head coaching job. That is the only way GC leaves.

Having a good offense in one game out of 13 (and the only one with a month to prepare at that) does not convince me that Crowton is capable of anything better than what we've been seeing.

He will probably be back, for whatever reason unknown to man. However, I do not believe he called the Cotton Bowl. The team looked to good for that to be a Crowton called game. Hardly any flags, few options to the short side of the field, a lot more I-formation, and some deep passing. Does not compute to Gary Crowton.

Miles just got the ok to be mediocre in return for staying at LSU. No way he's firing Crowton now. That's the price that must be paid for the stability LSU just bought.

THIS. And I'll add, continuing to run plays that WORK instead of ditching them and benching the players that make them.

This is what impressed me more than the play calling.
LSU had 0 penalities in the 1st half, and only 3 for a total of 25 yards in the game.
I credit the C-USA officials for some of this. SEC refs could learn a thing or two from them.
