Honestly our image can't get any worse right now. Winning will be the only cure for that.
Once again I will repeat. We fired our most successful coach ever for this. Many in Louisiana might have loved this hire, but as someone who lives in Atlanta I can tell you the rest of the SEC is laughing their asses off at us.

Sark hasn't called plays in years. I'm skeptical on both Briles and Sark

I'd be happy with either over Canada. On that note I'm sure we'll hire Canada

Briles >>> Sark (I consider the off the field issues a wash, from a "baggage" standpoint - I'm not making qualitative assessments of the situation, merely assessing the conduct of each, before, during and after his respective scandal - )

Briles

Would be absolutely perfect based on the talent we've brought into Baton Rouge on the offensive side of the ball over the last 30 years, period.

Briles = Championships at LSU

Briles will probably never coach college football again.

Considering how recruiting has gone recently and the fact that O's top target just got a head coaching job, my confidence in our new head coach is now below 0 %. We are now counting on him to bring in Sark, who just last week this board didn't want because he's a drunk.

Or we are counting on him to bring in Briles, fired from Baylor with all kinds of off field trash looming over him, another who nobody else wants on their sidelines.

^^^^ This, what happened under Briles @ Baylor will never allow him to Coach in the NCAA ranks again. Ask Jim Leavitt how it's gone since his debacle at USF. NFL? Sure... NCAA? Not likely IMHO...

NOt IF the rumors of him showing up drunk prior to the seccg flight is true. I'm not saying it is but that's what was being rumored when fans thought he was just going to be promoted.

Both made some pretty terrible ethical decisions. Leavitt probably the lesser of the two. At least Leavitt was a confirmed lunatic at the time he was hired. The fact he beat the shite out of a few players came as no surprise to anyone close to the program. But the damage was kept inside the football program.

Briles made a conscious decision to cover up or not deal with accusations of rape totaling nearly 20 of his players. The damage extended into the whole University. Resulting in even the Chancellor going down.

Regardless of who the bigger shithead is, they both carry huge baggage. Since his departure from USF Coach Leavitt hasn't secured a single NCAA Head Coaching gig. He just landed back as a DC in Colorado I think. I believe the same will be true with Briles. A period of exile at the minimum before maybe returning later. I can't see him getting consideration for a high profile job at a major University any time soon.
