Charlie Strong will be looking for a job. How would everyone feel about him being DC if for some reason Dave heads out?

That's what he does best like Lane. Some coaches are better leaving the general manager roles to someone else.

Bet Arky takes a run at him for DC. No way they don't axe theirs after this year, and Strong is an Arkansan born and raised.

I still think strong can be successful in the right spot, like a South Carolina.

He just isn't the politician that you need to be at Texas. He was spread too thin

Keep it simple. Offer the head coach job to Coach Aranda. He's the kind of young, innovative and perceptive coach we've been needing. And he's here already. Doesn't bother me he hasn't been a head coach. The man has an obvious gift--we should put our money there. He can pick his offensive coordinator. No one can spot a good offensive coordinator like an insightful defensive coordinator. He knows whom to fear.

Strange. All my Arkansas friends in the know say that UA admins just came in their pants at the thought of replacing their DC with Strong. He's an Arky native.
