What team(s) make a run at him? Surely they got to be intrigued.

In a "win now" league that the NFL is surely by-gones are by-gones.

Saban will be at Alabama until he has 6-7 NC rings or is just too old to coach.

Keep telling yourself this. Now I don't think he is going anywhere but anyone that thinks its impossible is crazy. Bama people don't want to hear it but if a few people keep their mouths shut then he would be in Austin right now. The biggest thing is Saban failed in the NFL and if their is one thing bigger than the paychecks he cashes its his ego. You just know its eating him up that he failed in the NFL. If the right offer comes at him I think he will leave. The point is Saban has no home he is a nomad, always has been. He is loyal to one person and that's himself.

Read this article a while back and I agree with it that if Coughlin hangs it up next year then coaching the Giants will be hard for Saban to pass up. Especially if he wins another championship this year or next as he will have nothing at all left to prove at the college level.

He couldn't win in the NFL and he knows it. Little nicky needs to stay in gumpdom.

Hugs and kisses,

Pete Carroll, Jim Harbaugh, and Chip Kelly

It's not impossible. He only needs to coach for 4-5 years in the NFL at the most to see if he can win a Super Bowl.

In the NFL you don't need a legacy beyond winning a Super Bowl or two. You don't have to be at a place for 10 years or so to build a legacy.

I think Saban has realized that he should just stay in College and dominate.

There is a part of me that hope he sees Pete Carroll having success in his second run, but I think he just doesn't like to lose.

This is true

Saban's success is predicated on amazing recruiting. Level playing fields are not kind to him.

Yes, it is "eating him up," so much so that he has had a difficult time recruiting his fifth straight Number One class.

Yeah, he was successful at LSU, but had average seasons too. He needs a stacked deck which he can only get at bama to be great. Despite his ego, he knows this and will retire there to preserve his legacy. No NFL re-do in his future.
