Mack Brown may not be out of work for long. In fact he may not be out of work at all.

Booster Joe Jamail, who is also Brown's attorney, told the Austin American-Statesman that Brown received three coaching offers last fall, two of which were "firm." Brown is technically under contract with Texas through 2020 and Jamail said that the the university will honor that, but it likely wouldn't prevent him from hopping to another school.

Brown resigned from the Longhorns on Saturday, concluding a 16-year run with the school that included two Big 12 championships and one national championship.

Anyone else see potential for the Texas situation to become REALLY funny before it's all said and done?

Ya think?

I'm guessing the boys in Austin would love nothing more than to release Mack from his obligation.

He'll probably take the high road considering he's still on the UT payroll.

So the real story will get leaked by an "anonymous source very close to the situation." Hmm.

We'll take him at Ohio University, when Frank Solich decides to retire. Give us 9 wins against a MAC schedule and he would be BMOC.

I'm holding out hope that it ends with them hiring the Flying Pellini Brothers.
