In short, they still want Kiffin.

Fall back is a coach likely from the Briles Tree. Art would be homerun but Admin still wary of Baylor BS. Art will exhaust every HC option before even considering talking about being an OC. I continue to hear Gilbert as an alternative.

I know Helfrich reached out, but I don't think he is in Top 3 as of now because O wants more of a Power Spread. I wouldn't buy to much stock in him, but you never know. Helfrich wants to coach and we can likely hiring him cheaper than 2 mil.

Random brought up Wilson. I have not heard him mentioned yet, but I could see him getting a call. He was an excellent OC at OU.

Kiffin is 1st domino that must fall.

Would that include Kendall Briles (with Stidham in tow)?

Thank you for that update TBL... very much appreciated...patience...I sounds like we know our next 1 to 2 targets if Lane goes to USF. Is that a fair assessment in your opinion?

So he wants more Ohio State/Baylor than Oregon?
I'm thinking Stud. ??

What is the main reasoning behind Kiffin?

I have a feeling it's about loyalty with O. Ponamsky was hired by O because of his efforts to get Orgeron on staff after the Chavis transition. O used to work under Kiffin and it's well known there is a strong friendship between the two of them. Considering all the flight risk speculation with Kiffin and the fact he hasn't been very good away from Saban, I just don't see what makes him the top candidate.

if kiffin is trying desperately to latch on to Houston or USF its clear the guy is a one year mercenary hire and we're all right here again next year.

When he was the HC at Indiana, Wilson hired Doug Mallory as defensive coordinator. To me, that's way more baggage than Briles. :)

Just read a Tweet from Jimmy D Smith. “Appears LSU has lost momentum on recruiting trail. Could be a bumpy 8 weeks”, “Bad decisions often come with consequences” indicates it would affect all recruits not just one.

Not sure what that could be about unless we made an offered to Art Briles anyone know.

Kevin Wilson former IU head coach and OU oc

Sounds like he hurt some feelings. He would be a great choice for shadow staff
