From a recruiting point of view, this could end up being good for us. Not as many recruits come down between LSU and Tenn as do between Tenn and Alabama. If Coach O can get a few kids that would otherwise go to Bama, then this might not be so bad.

If true, I don't feel so bad honestly. The more I thought about it, the less good I have felt about having a D-line coach make more than the DC. Just my two cents, even with the other titles of "assistant head coach" and "recruiting coordinator".
Les is a damn good recruiter and has pulled together a damn strong class. I just hope that if Orgeron did play us, and LSU was lining that up, that the current recruiting guys aren't too pissed.

LSU should've upped the offer. A 200K more to have coach O more than makes up for it with increased merchandise sales, ticket sales, and donations toward the program.
