If anything, props to them for not dicking around on their hire and getting strung along by their head coaches "best friend".

Target your guy and go get him, period. Doesn't matter how prestigious the name is, just go get him.

I agree generally, but it's much easier when your guy is not in fact somewhat prestigious.

Their WR coach is allegedly going to Indiana. Think that staff will completely turnover after signing day.

Looks like Freeze is leaving his Mahlzahn/Option roots and joining the Air Raid family

Makes sense with a guy like Shea....he has some wheels and the arm. That could be scary.

True, that system really fits Patterson's strengths

Great choice, Sam Houston State just got beat by almost 60 points and only score 1 TD.....prolific offense as the article says................

Shut down by James Madison. Scored only one TD. Receivers were locked down.

QB had a recent injury issue that might have hurt them last night. He was not very accurate.

Their offense had been very productive all season.

I said on another message board that we should look at FCS offenses. Chip Kelly was at New Hampshirr before he went to Oregon.

I think one game shouldn't say too much. The body of work speaks for itself. Hopefully he can help us figure out how to run the ball effectively. Ole Miss has the QB and the WR's to make an air raid work.

Prior to this game, his lowest point total all year was 38.

That's the thing though put up huge points when your team is better but score 6 when you play a team with equal or better talent than you. And let's be honest with OM in the west 8/10 seasons auburn bama lsu and Tamu have more talent than OM

Hugh is a pretty good offensive mind. I sort of wished O wasn't constrained to "make a HR hire" but could just hire whomever he deemed best.

Just a few years ago, Lincoln Riley was OC at the football backwaters of ECU. Now, he's the hot ticket.

Good hire, fits the talent they have, nothing wrong with going the Air Raid route. Curious to see what they put out in the field next season.

Dude is legit. Not sure what happened to their offense against James Madison though.

I like it.

Spread up tempo guy that's produced some monster results at Sam Houston State.

Bright coach.
