I think aside from some early protection problems our OL played pretty well this year, much better than last year

No it is not. Jeff Grimes is a recruiter. And he is an "enforce of rules" as a coach (he is the guy who will yell at you for not lining up your helmet correctly during warm ups.) Jeff Grimes is not a teacher of men.


And he is also very bad at picking personnel to play on the line. Dude chose to start the worst OT in Auburn history twice; once over a future 3rd round draft pick. If AJ Greene has not broken his leg in 2010, he would have cost is the national title that year. Those decisions you did not like were probably not all 100% Miles.

After observing and talking with people close to the program I disagree...

Whatever problems he had at Auburn I have no knowledge of but next time I see my cousin I will ask him since he was on that 2010 team...
