It's not as if O was turning down the job, so whoever is after him is irrelevant.

If/when Draconian Sanctions see this, he might just off himself. I wouldn't blame him.

I'm with you. I think this entire "search" might have been a charade.

They were on a "list" but not contacted to make it look like Alleva put some effort into a search

I'm saying Ponamsky came on here and scribbled some names into a binder and handed it to Joe

LOL. How were these ranked? What was the criteria?

I'm telling you, it was Joe Alleva and a few interns doing google searches.

No way in hell was there a "next 3"

They planned to hire O immediately had he not lost to florida. There was no search. I didn't want to believe that, but it seems that was the truth. They wanted the cheapest, easiest hire that they thought fans would support.

I can't say it enough.... I really didn't want to believe the stuff that was being written about O being the front runner before the season was even over. No way would they be that incompetent....to not even look at handful of legitimate candidates. No way would they be that stupid with all the money that's been invested in the football program.

Sadly, I was wrong. I guess I just don't get it. I think O will be like miles post 2007, so it's not the worst case I guess. I'd just really hoped that after 12 years of having a joke of a head coach, we could get someone that would command respect and bring us back to a championship level. Someone the media and other teams fans couldn't laugh at. Someone that the conference would fear.

Sorry for the rant. Just bummed that we are apparently back to the good ole boy stuff.
