How could anyone hate hiring an NFL OC as our OC?

Finally, someone with some sense!

Agree 100 percent...and that fit may be Cam Cameron. In fact, I'm going to assume that Les is at least considering CC unless (a) Les flat rules out making a change (which he pointedly did not do in the Advocate article) or (b) CC takes a new job or announces that he's not coaching in 2013.

Heard the Jets were sniffing around CC, but that's the last update I saw on the man.

They will go to the wide side of the field for the option!

Yeah, he got fired, but calling plays at that level >>>>> anything else really.

remember sean payton was oc for the giants and jim fassel took his play calling duties in the middle of the season. then he got fired, went to dallas, then the saints. i have no idea where jim fassel is.

point being, getting fired in the nfl sometimes has nothing to do with how good you are.

Seriously now, was there a point when LSU fans thought he was good?

Average QB in his day. Have never been impressed with him as a coach.

That's been rumored for a while...but nothing more than speculation.

Are you hearing a deal is done?

I am convinced next year is going to be bad for us. No matter who is hired as OC or if Stud stays. It doesn't do any good to hire someone like CC especially if he would be gone after next year. Hate to be so doom and gloom but next year will be another 9-3 season if were lucky. I say a change will be made following next years demise. Les will have a reason to make a change. He won't make a change one year removed from an undefeated season and an embaressing showing in the BCSNCG.

Means nothing really.

If he did come out and say there's not going to be any changes, he would have to feel the immediate wrath of the crazed LSU fanbase. He's not ready to cross that bridge just yet. Im sure he'd rather let emotions die down first.

No innovative OC will want to come here. However, if somehow Miles can get a good hire, it won't matter anyway, because Miles will still run his shitty system.

We need an OC, but if we go 9-3 next year that would be a great season

Sort of starting to look that way.

TCU
Alabama
UGA
UF
aTm
Ole Miss
Arky
even Moo U

Much of the best upper class talent gone to the NFL/team leadership coming from?
Untried, young defense
Sputtering offense/sputtering offensive scheme
No real OC on staff

2013 might not be a pretty season from the looks of it.

Of course, I'm always open to good surprises.

I say 8-4 next year. Then offensive change is made and we lose one game the following year.
