Someone be on the lookout as to how Miles travels to Dallas for Tuesday's speech...if he hitches a ride on a Michigan plane...I'd say we're in trouble!

I would like to know how often that plane has been in Baton Rouge. Has it ever been to Baton Rouge in the last 12 months?

I give up. I have no inside info, and neither does anyone else, therefore it's all just speculation. But you have at least 20 different people giving you plausible scenarios and telling you who the plane is owned by who lives in the HH area etc. If you choose to think it's unrelated thats fine. Could it be unrelated, sure, but the longer that airplane sits there after landing yesterday afternoon, I'm guessing it's not...

I have seen in on more than one occasion over the last couple of years.

So the meeting will be in Dallas...well crap!

from BR Business Report

quote:

LSU football Coach Les Miles is set to meet with Michigan officials Tuesday to discuss the open head coaching job at the university, reports The Detroit Free Press. That meeting may happen in Dallas; Miles will be there to speak at the American Football Coaches Association convention and his agent, George Bass, is also based in the city. According to published reports, Michigan will give LSU 24 hours' notice before the meeting with Miles; as of late Sunday night, school officials said they hadn't heard of a meeting.

I can look back to September, since then, the plane has not been in Baton Rouge.

Didn't that paper also report last week that Harbaugh had accepted the Dolphins job?

Ah....that's when UM brought Bo to BTR to interview with Alleva and then took Crowton to interview with Mack Brown. Thanks!

As much as this plane has been in the news across the state of Louisiana I would think the people that flew it and were in it would have said something by now if it weren't related to the UM coaching search. It even made the news here in Shreveport.....everybody is talking about it and trying to figure out why it's in Baton Rouge.

LSURussian and Deathvalleytiger10....you do realize that the "charter" plane is owned by the former President of the Michigan Alumni Association and on the (athletic)DIRECTOR'S CABINET at present..right? You do realize that this same plane took off from Hilton Head 15 minutes after a plane landed at Hilton Head FROM ANN ARBOR?

Coincidence? YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!!!! (in my best John McEnroe)

Private Jets are quite often leased out for other people than the owner to use.

I'm glad you made mention about the basketball team at the bottom. I wouldn't have known they ever played.

I apologize. Sorry for the violation of the rules!....It was not intentional. I know it can be rough around here on a novice poster so I'll move on. Thanks!

I know it is hard to believe, but I know for a fact the people on the plane were not involved in the UM coaching search.
