Talked to #UM great Clinton Portis. IF Golden leaves, Portis says #Canes should pursue Butch Davis, CJ & Chud: "They know that program."

Also seeing CJ's name a lot on the interwebs regarding this job today.

Actually makes sense and would be a good hire. Plus he won't cost a ton, which Miami won't pay. Seems like a good fit. Butch Davis would be a shocker

Hope not, we might be fricked if he left.
Don't think it's going to happen though, they'll want someone with more HC experience. CJ is really still learning on the job.

Hope CJ stays at Tulane, I think if he stays a couple of years and builds up more, itll be easier to sustain if he levaes later. If he leaves now, they may fall back into the rut.

I don't think hiring Butch would be a good idea unless they like being on probation.

When CJ leaves it will be for a much bigger school

He will turn Tulane completely around and I don't think many people are familiar with his college résume

He'll take over for Saban when Saban retires with 7 national titles

Miami may have some high profile perception left...old habits die hard. But they aren't a major job anymore.
But I stopped fawning over these coaches long ago. If they leave they leave.
