Its amazing to read the slanted articles and well timed attacks on AU the last 3 years. It's really unprecedented. I think most of it is because AU is open about making Faith / Religion a big part of the Program. With a Petrino hire and probably much less of the open faith comments - does the media let up or do they go full throttle on Petrino's past?

If Auburn hires Petrino the media will go full throttle with hit pieces about Petrino and call Auburn hypocrites for the hire.

It'll be better than all the "can you believe Auburn sucks this bad?" coverage you've been getting.

I'll be mad, real mad. Hypocrisy is the one thing that I can never forgive and makes me steam from my ears.

How is this even possible with a public university?

Is all this talk about AU being divided on Petrino true?

Every AU fan which condemned Petrino's actions at Arkansas and embrace him as Auburn's HC should be called out early, and often.

Yet AU's in State rival's Coach is the biggest hypocrite of all and gets a pass.
" I guess I have to say it, I'm not going to be the Coach at Alabama."

And the latest, complaining about the fairness of the SECCG Loser not getting a BCS bid because they " Won their Division."

Any SEC team that hires BP this soon will get torn up by the media. Cann't see that being an AU thing specifically. But this is the first I've heard bout the religious angle there. Did it go overboard in any way?

If you call paying a preacher to get his son to play ball for their program a Faith / Religion movement on their part, then I guess you're 100% correct.
