Like him or not, he definitely seems to have his sources. Mentioned off the air that today's the day that planes are zipping around and they're really working to get the deal done. Said that the money they're offering Jimbo is insane.
Mutual interest with both parties. In reference to the awesome offer LSU's presented, he said "If Jimbo doesn't leave FSU this season, he never will."

The pessimist in me wonders if the school is putting this out there to give the appearance that they are willing to pay. Then they can say "oh well, we tried our best... we are serious about competing!" I mean they were HOPING for Ed Orgeron to win the job to make their decision easier.

It's easier to sway someone in person. There is a personal disconnect when using a video screen.

I've never been offered a job that I didn't interview in person for.
Why would that be different for a multi-million dollar head coaching position?
