Tom Herman was never going to be the head coach at LSU with the open Texas job. Get over it. Texas would have matched or exceeded any offer we made. Herman wanted Texas.

There was information all over the place LSU was offering Jimbo Fisher $6.5M. There is no way in hell Jimbo is worth that. So if we were willing to overpay JF $1M, and to ANNOUNCE IT TO THE WORLD, why shouldn't Herman demand the same.

I dont know what really happened but if Herman had agreed on a deal with Alleva and then backed out once he saw Texas was there then I have no problem with Alleva pulling out. I know nothing is final till he signs but if he gave his word and then backed out then frick him. The problem I have is only having 3 coaches your going after when you have had 2 months. I mean why arent you checking with NFL guys or other college coaches. Maybe he did and was told no. It just seems like a very limited search.
