As a fan of a team handcuffed to its current coach because our AD gave him the farm too early, I respect Alleva for not doing the same. What I don't get is why were there only 3 candidates?

Absolutely not, he shouldn't get a damn blank check. Let him prove that he is worth that much before you raise his salary. He isn't worth Sabah money, no way.

How many coaches are in the Saban, Meyer, and even Harbaugh class? Not many, if any.
