I'm really praying for Herman. I think ohio state lost their edge after Herman left the program. The quarterbacks didn't look as good. Offense left something to be desired

These guys aren't leaving schools that can match anyone's offer and already have their teams competing for NC's every season.

Maybe he feels bad how it went down, but that's not enough to compel him to return. I'm certain he doesn't feel he owe LSU a thing.

I can't believe the number of you idiots that think they're going out and asking these people if they want the job. It's like the most experience that you have in respect executive placement is the fry station at McDonald's.

No he doesn't but you know in the back of that mind of his he is saying....hmmmmmmmmm. He has always claimed that leaving LSU for Miami was one of the worse decisions he has ever made. He loved and I believe still loves LSU.

Can you imagine him cementing himself in the history books if he leaves Alabama and returns to LSU and wins a couple of championships over here?

Yeah, it ain't happening I know but one could wish

Saban is the LAST coach I want. I don't want Bama's leftovers. I want a coach that can (potentially) beat Saban 5 years in a row!

The general consensus, I feel, is that Saban isn't going to coach a whole lot longer. So as amazing as that would be, it's still short term IMO. And I thought one of the big reasons people were drawn to Herman over Jimbo is the age factor, and Nick is even older.

Stoops is the guy....want's more NC title's, and he wont get them at OU....need's to be in the SEC....Recruits the area well....run's an exciting fast paced offense that today's players in HS are used to and like.

I disagree.

Herman is in a good spot. He can win a lot of games at Houston until he finds a job he wants.

If you're in a position like he is, do you want to go to a school that was looking at other coaches first? The TAF / AD / University need to show Herman that he is the #1 choice, bar none and without reservations.

The message should be, "Even if they (Saban/Meyer/etc) wanted this job, we want YOU to have it."

*ETA - I don't mean I disagree with your post, I disagree that kicking the tires on Saban / Meyer makes the job more attractive.
