If Herman turns us down? Yes, I would. He turned UNC into a competitive team. UNC football was a joke. I would like to see what he coukd do with this talent pool and resources.

That would be a good hire. I wanted A&M to get him last time.

Typically wins out means wins all the games. So yes.

You could, but when someone puts that much emphasis on change in a press conference you should observe what is happening in the upcoming weeks. Obviously the plan is to hire a head coach but I'm not going to totally discredit the idea of him being head coach if he ends up doing well.

So far the change has been drastic, the whole approach of how they are practicing and meeting as a team is totally different and more of a NFL style. See what happens with the changes is all I'm saying.

Yes I would be, I've said before I think that's at worst who we get.

But let's see what O does. If he goes 4-4 he may not warrant a shot at Head Coach.
ha. Ya think?

Coach Ogre will need to go at least 7-1 to get consideration, imo.

I'd be happy with Fedora if I knew that Fisher and Herman and other top level coaches all said no.

Last article I read about Fedora was how bad his time of possession is, his defense played 41 minutes against Pittsburgh. Don't know how I feel about that. Our defense is pretty lackadaisical when they are tired.

You know, I was OK with fedora until I went and looked up his coaching record.
Here's his year by year records:
Southern miss:
2008 - 7-6 (4-4)
2009 - 7-6 (5-3)
2010 - 8-5 (5-3)
2011 - 12-2 (6-2) conference champs
North Carolina:
2012 - 8-4 (5-3)
2013 - 7-6 (4-4)
2014 - 6-7 (4-4)
2015 - 11-3 (8-0) lost in conf. Champ game

Now that last year looks great, but let's see the game by game results:
Lost 13-17 to a 3-9 South carolina
Won 53-14 to North Carolina a&t
Won 48-14 to 5-7 Illinois
Won 41-14 to Delaware
Won 38-31 to 3-9 georgia Tech
Won 50-14 to 3-9 wake forest
Won 26-14 to 4-8 Virginia
Won 26-19 to 8-5 Pittsburgh
Won 66-31 to 8-5 Duke
Won 59-21 to 8-5 Miami
Won 30-27 to 7-6 Virginia Tech
Won 35-24 to 7-6 NC state
Lost 37-45 to 14-1 clemson
Lost 38-49 to 10-3 Baylor

So they lost to the only 2 good teams they played and even dropped one to a terrible South Carolina team.

His head coaching record is just not that impressive to me

its Herman, Fisher, Saban, Meyer, Payton or they will be dissapointed.

What they want to see is:
Head coach- Belichick
OC- Payton
DC-Saban
DB's- Aranda
WR's= jerry Rice
LB's=jack Del Rio

If this isnt the coaching staff, and LSU fans believe each and every one of these guys are absolutely DYING to come to baton Rouge in any capacity, it will be disappointing.

I would say that Duke, Pitt, and Miami were good teams at 8-5 and he was competitive against an overwhelming Clemson team last year. Realize that he'll have better talent at most positions at LSU and will have a pretty good D already built in.

I'd say they looked better than they actually were due to how weak that division and the bottom of the other division was.

If he has another good year, then I might be on board. But 3 years of meh and 1 good year with a weak schedule ain't cutting it for me.
