Their New GM basically gave a "no comment" when asked about Jim Caldwells future

Reports are that the new GM has an eye on Josh McDaniels, question is is he willing (or going to have to) wait on him because he's not interviewing until the Pats are done

Get ready for another new head coach in 3 years, Detroit.

He had pretty much the same issues as Kelly had. Too much control early on and wasn't ready for it. And yet people still are gung-ho about Kelly's future

He's probably learned a lot and would be much better his second time around. Although the way he's not actively pursuing these jobs makes it look like he wants to take over for Belicheck after he's gone, while Matt Patricia was more than willing to put his name out there (would rather Patricia take over than McDaniels but I realize that will likely not time out as well)

Saw that. Seems weird how they handled it, I get its a new GM, but letting him sit in limbo seems odd

Might have been a different senerio if McDaniels was taking interviews

Think it was a combination of several things.

Caldwell is a great locker room guy...would have been a very unpopular decision among the players. There is also the feeling around the team that Calvin would not return for a new regime.

I think Austin gets a HC job, but bringing Cooter back is big. Stafford was on fire the second half after they made the switch.

Caldwell is not a good in game coach...and his inability to cut bait with Lombardi earlier cost us this season...but, they did finish 6-2 down the stretch and will get Levy back. I think I'm good for one make or break year.
