I find them so absurd. Being a great OC doesn't make a great HC. He's already held 3 head jobs and been bad at all 3 of them. And talk about a 4th head job???

And I'm not even sold on Kiffin being a great OC. Any assistant seems great under Nick Saban or Pete Carroll. I'm not sure my grandma would get any worse results if she were Caroll or Saban's OC. Not saying Kiffin's a bad OC- more of a hard to judge OC.

He's far and away the best best OC under Saban at Alabama. Second best overall in his career (Fisher). Major Applewhite and Doug Nussmeier were both ran off. So not all work out.

I don't know if Kiffin is good or not, but I would never hire a Saban or Belichick assistant. Those 2 make everyone look good.

That said, Kiffin has failed 3 times.

He can run an offense but he needs somebody above him to keep him in line. I don't think he will get a major coaching job unless he goes to a smaller school for a few years first.

Why is his Tenn term considered a failure? I mean, he's the one that chose to leave for his dream school. UT definitely wanted him there.

He worked wonders with a broken QB in Jonathan Crompton at Tennessee.

Had he stayed he would have had a lot of success there. Especially considering how weak the east was in the years after he left.

However when you leave in the middle of the night after one year it says a lot about his professionalism and his character. 2 things which keep coming back as questionable at best everywhere he has been.

I know Applewhite was a big disaster in 07 and got fired. But Nussmeier was more of a mutual parting because he and Saban didn't get along.

Lol. Okay. Nussmeier wasted the best collection of offensive talent ever at Alabama. So yeah, I'm sure they didn't get along.

He went to coordinate one of the worst Michigan offenses ever. And I can't see how Florida fans can be happy so far.

Yeah I've never considered him a failure at any of his jobs. Went to raiders under al Davis and forced to take Russell which he didn't like cause Davis loved him. Then Tennessee he did great things for one year and left for his dream job. At USC they had serious sanctions and he was doing better than anybody expected other than USC and was fired before sanctions ended

No slight to jimbo but lane's time in Tuscaloosa has been more impressive.

I disagree. He wasn't ready for his previous gigs. He's older now and after some time under Saban I think he'll be very good at his next stop.

Kiffen suck as OC, see AL as proof.
