I doubt it. Smart is getting paid so much, the only path for him is a HC gig somewhere. Smart to Vandy is more likely than him to UGA as a lateral move.

HCiW only keeps people at where they are. You don't leave somewhere to be HCiW, you leave to be HC. If UGA wants him as HC, he can just hang at Bama until Richt leaves.
Plus, he's making 1.4 mill this year, it would take a serious amount of change to get him out.

Bama 247 is saying its a very strong possibility. UGA willing to give him Head Coach in Waiting and rumors are that Richt will only coach for one or two more years. They expect Smart to give it a hard look.
