This is a Joe Alleva hire if there ever was one. Just don't forget the name

If my radar was located at LSU football Operations facility then the Brian Kelly dot would be located roughly in Tokyo Japan

Alleva is not making this hire. This is a TAF hire.

no thank you, he struggles at ND. He also killed a kid which is much worse than anything LK and Petrino has done. So anyone pushing for B. Kelly shouldn't throw stones at getting Petrino

I am thinking ND will not consider Kelly on the hot seat. He is an offensive minded coach, and his team has scored:

47, 39, 28, 35 -- and yet they are 1-3.

That's why they just axed their DC.

That said, if he wants to jump ship and keep Aranda, I'd take him. I am not aware of him "killing a kid".... was this someone who died at practice of heat stroke or something? (I know, LMGTFY.)

he killed a student worker because he had him up in a scissor lift filming practice in high winds. It was a few years back probably 2012 or something like that. The same day TOSU and other schools in the midwest had canceled practice or didn't run their student workers up into the towers while B. Kelly did.

I think there was also a story of him covering up a rape or something at ND that lead to a girl killing herself. It didn't get much air play.

Either way just pointing out he has worse baggage than LK or Petrino, so for those on a moral high horse about Petrino they shouldn't ride the Kelly train. I don't want him based on his production at ND and he has melted down a few times over expectations.

I think I'd rather Petrino over Brian Kelly, too, but was just curious.

Petrino's motorcycle crash with his dish is pretty much par for the course with HCs, except that he was stupid enough to wreck the motorcycle, and then flee the scene. He also left the Falcons before end of the season. That's just a big no-no from a coach. Others do it all the time in other careers, but it is seen as ruthless for a coach to do it. He will never be mistaken as a warm fuzzy type, but the guy would absolutely kill it at LSU with Aranda or another good DC. I'm mixed on Petrino, but not totally against it. It'd feel like selling my soul a bit, but I could hold my nose while watching us monkey-stomp Ole Miss.
