I know he failed at USC, but he had a pretty decent track record before that.

It's not a bad hire at all IMO. He's done some good things during his career. Following the train wreck that is Sark was not one of them though

Will work for food.

That does seem to be the recurring theme, with Barry Alvarez as the AD at Wisky.

He's not that bad, IMO any realistic hire they would make would be a dropoff. Aranda is the next big thing in defensive college football, he's a young Saban a young Belichick type talent and mind. We are so fortunate to have this guy

At the very least he'll look like a young Saban or Belichick when he coaches against TAMU.

Much like Kevin Steele.

Yes he is that bad. He made senile, 100 year old Monte Kiffin look aggressive and innovative.

Wasn't very good at USC, but had an OK resume before that. No matter the Defensive Coordinator, Wisconsin has churned out some pretty good defenses for awhile now. I don't expect that to change, especially given the immense talent on the front-seven.

They've ranked inside the Top-25 in total defense for the last seven years. I believe they've ranked outside the Top-40 just once in the last 12 years.

All of these Boise State coaches look like geniuses on the blue turf but look average/mediocre after their eyes adjust.
