.... if it's going to happen, might as well lay back and enjoy it.

Fedora would be the most successful coach at LSU out of all the available candidates that have been mentioned.

I'm not convinced that Joe would go with Fedora over coach O

Yeah, I'm getting a sinking feeling it's going to be him.

LSU will try to spin it as a home run hire, "the guy we really wanted all along".

He's been a good coach in a place where football recruiting and the resources to do it aren't the best.

I think he'd do great with a solid DC.

It wouldnt be the grand slam hire but I don't really know why so many posters think he would be a complete and total failure

Because after a long head start you have on the head coaching search. If you end up with Fedora you realize that first Alleva had O as his guy and when he didn't win vs Fl. They moved on to Jimbo after he didn't get his housing stipulation for one million more (about). Then you settle on Fedora. Do you see why this would be upsetting yet?

His last name being a hat doesn't help either

I haven't watched UNC this year though - are they completely a finesse spread team or is there any element of power running?

He needs more than a solid DC, go look at him teams offensive time of possession. His style of offense puts a ton of pressure on his own defense.

Elijah Hood is a power back and UNC does have that element to their run game.

They also run TJ Logan, who is more of a speed back but he does run between the tackles as well.

I would be happy with any of these guys and think they can all do great here. Look what that last guy from OSU who lost half his games did here. Only disappointment I will have would be coach O. Love the guy on staff, but I'm ready to have a smart, well spoken HC at LSU. Tired of having a lovable doofus who most teams in the country don't want.

I have to believe LSU is doing everything within their means to get Jimbo, therefore I believe if Jimbo remains at FSU it is because he wanted to stay there.

Alleva didn't pay les miles 10million to pack his bags so we could hire a d-line coach. O isn't and never was option #1. I think he's more like #5 behind fisher, Herman, Fedora, Gundy
