What 40 year old man doesn't enjoy getting yelled at by his boss with kids half their ages laughing at them nearby?

you couldn't put the quote in the OP?

Thought I put them in the link. Not an expert on the board . But the article is in the link. Or at least I think it is. ??

With the nation's top-ranked scoring, total and rushing defense going up against the 13th ranked scoring offense, practices can get a bit heated. Star defensive end Jonathan Allen says the defense takes pride in not only stopping the Tide's offense in practice, but that they actively try to get offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin yelled at by Nick Saban.
"Coach Kiffin, he gets real competitive so he tries to scheme us a little bit, but feel like we do a good job," Allen said. "As a defense you try to get Coach Saban mad at him and try to get him yelled at in practice."
How often are the Alabama defenders successful in getting Kiffin yelled at?
"Oh all the time," Allen said with a smile. "All the time and we love it. I'm sure you guys have seen those on the TV, that's exactly how it is in practice."

Does Kiffin get motivated / creative / innovative by "arse-chewing's"? IF his results show that he does, can Orgeron dish them out to his friends?
I'm thinking Kiffin doesn't become "flat" without them, but had to ask the question . . .

I am sure he does get motivated by the arse chewings. He seems to be a competitor .but no employee will deal with that for ever. Saban and Alabama have served a need for Kiffin. He has to prove now he can do it without that. That should be motivation enough. I imagine next November in Tuscaloosa he will be plenty motivated.

Saban is a winner no doubt but he's also such a fricking tool

That's funny because Saban left Miami because couldn't yell and scream at people more than half his age.

I read another article about this the other day that had more of Allen's remarks about it. He indicated that it's a back-and-forth game between Lane and the offense vs Pruitt and the defense when they're scrimmaging in practice. Both sides try to cause the other side to get arse chewings. They have fun with it.

I wish just wish we could knock Saban off his throne. We need to kick their arse this coming year. I know this if Kiffin comes here he will try with all his might to beat Saban that's for sure.

Yeah. Because this certainly couldn't be a back and forth competition.

Bama boys. You are missing the point. It's not about the players competing to do it against each other. It's the fact that a 65 year old man is issuing arse chewings to his employees and professionals . If I were a college football player I would do the same thing. An occasional arse chewing can be motivational and every employee needs one now and Then. Bottom line my post is not about the players game. It's about the fact that the result is ridicule to a professional.

It is human nature to not like arse chewing in front of others, especially in front of people half your age, regardless of the fact that The head coach is the best in the business.
I am sure you Bama people on this site would not enjoy such either in your chosen profession. Even if the person issuing the arse chewings to you was considered the best in your field. You would be pissed. You may say, I will get better, but you would tire of such treatment.
No one can question the results that Saban has achieved. It is there in black and white. Such methods would be highly criticized if he were not getting the results and that is not the path every coach should take as it is Saban presenting himself honestly and being true to himself. Each coach has to find a way that works for them. This kind of coaching technique may work for a Jim Harbaugh, probably not for a Dabo Swinney or Chris Peterson and wasn't the method that Bobby Bowden used as each coach must be true to his personality.

It's amazing anyone worth a shite would work for Saban. It's why all the Bama assistants are terrible and no one tries to hire them.

If that's what you took from the article, then you're a really simple fellow.

My post is not a negative about Saban. Can't argue he is the greatest coach in my lifetime and I am not a young man. Also not about coaches not wanting to coach with or for him. Of course they do. Everyone would like to learn from him. My post is really meant for you Bama folks that are posting that Kiffin ain't leaving for a sideways move or what some of you consider a downward move. It's confirmation from an inside source of how he treats Kiffin . It's not about other coaches. They may be willing to take the abuse because it helps their career. Looks like Kiffin feels like his career has been stabilized with the help of Saban. Time to end the abuse.

I took a lot of things from the article but none apply to this board.
I don't want to confuse people like you. This is a coaching changes board and the topic revolves around the potential coaching change at Alabama and LSU
