I like Jimbo and all, but without Jameis Winston has he really done that great of a job?

He has done a hell of a lot more than Herman. Id probably prefer Herman just because it's a little more exciting but resume wise fisher is the best candidate

He has produced 4 first round draft picks at QB. No matter what they do in the NFL, he was able to get guys to show enough on the college field to make teams believe they were first rounders.

He returned a stale FSU to national prominence. He was won a national title, won a BCS bowl, went to the playoff, and is averaging over 12 wins the last 4 seasons. His playing and speaking style doesn't make you want to gouge your eye out...

45-14 with a conference championship and an Orange Bowl win.

People used to say the same thing about Urban Meyer with Tim Tebow supposedly being the key to his success. We all see how that turned out. Ohio State sure didn't see it that way.

Yes, Jimbo Fisher is a wonderful coach. He's probably one of the top five college coaches in the country, and his resume working with quarterbacks is second to none. His last three have been drafted in the first round. Having a 29 game winning streak and dethroning the SEC in the national championship doesn't hurt either.

What many here ignore is the fact that FSU isn't willing to pay nearly as much for assistant coaches as LSU does. That's a significant element as to why Jimbo's team isn't always successful on defense.

Jimbo + Aranda is a recipe for multiple championships.

Exactly. If we're willing to pony up 6.5-7mill and keep our reputation for having an open checkbook for assistants, Jimbo will listen and listen real good... if not anything to make FSU match.

The OC that won a national championship with Matt Maulk and one with even less talented team at FSU. Not really impressive

Josh Booty was all SEC under his coaching. Let that sink in.

I could see Jimbo leaving just for a change. It's been 7 years and things can get stale on both sides.
