Jimbo. He's actually won something in college football. But he 'aint leaving FSU. They committed to him with the coach in waiting gig, and they will build a statue of him if he keeps it up. Money won't be an issue with FSU.

Chip Kelly would be incredible at LSU.

That guy with our talent would be insane.

It also will never, ever happen.

Never say never, but wouldn't Kelly's "Oregon Spread" system worry you?

Can you imagine what would happen if Kelly faced Saban? A three and out in under a minute, putting the defense in a bad spot?

I want to say that Kelly, given a better breed of athlete at LSU, would adapt his system accordingly... but I live close enough to the Philadelphia market to tell y'all a few things about running DeMarco Murray incorrectly week after week after week...

You aren't getting either one.

Similar to Texas, Tenn, USC and FL, LSU will get a mid major caliber coach who will be mediocre and then fans will be wondering why the hell their idiot AD fired Les.

I doubt it. Teams like Arky and Bama would gash him.

Chip Kelly? Get serious. If he comes back to college he will go to the west coast so he can run his kind of offense with his kind of players. He will never come to the SEC.

Somehow his teams seemed fine against Stanford, even the Luck led Stanford teams.

How much worse could they gash us with Kelly than they already do now?

Chip Kelly built and maintained a program of greatness. Jimbo has ridden one superstar and remains to be seen if he can continue the success. (not saying he cant he probably will). For me, its Kelly.

I would prefer Chip Kelly, but I think it is wishful thinking that LSU will be able hire either of them as a replacement for Les Miles.

I think Kelly has learned some lessons in the NFL that he would bring back to the college game. The first of which is that you need better athletes playing defense than he had at Oregon if you want to win championships. Jimmie's and Joe's do beat X's and O's. LSU would give him the opportunity to recruit those athletes. Also, Kelly is an offensive innovator who does not require an elite level QB for his offense to succeed.

Fisher's offenses have struggled without superior QB play dating back to his days at Auburn. He has had superior talent at FSU since day one, and he hasn't exactly dominated the ACC. At least not to the same extent that Kelly dominated the PAC10 at Oregon.

Since we are taking about things that will never happen, I'm going to go ahead and throw out Santa Claus, he should be LSU's next coach!!!!!

Even a mediocre mid level coach could go .500 in conference. In the last two years, that's where MIles has LSU.

He would tear it up at Texas and Big XII style play.

Put Jimbo at Oregon and Chip at FSU and see who does what.

Chip could win a title at FSU but I doubt Jimbo goes to 3 straight bcs bowl games, including a title game at Oregon.

Chip all day!
