Jimbo's record at FSU without Jameis Winston is no better than Miles at LSU. And in a much easier conference.

Think about where FSU was, as a program, before Jimbo took over.

Those comparisons are all relative to the conferences and talent they're able to bring in. I DO know that Jimbo's classes are always top five pretty much and he hasn't done shite in the ACC without Winston.

And to answer your question, I did look at their bowl game last year.

DALSU is credible and knows his stuff. He was right when everyone else was wrong last year. Everyone gave him shite, so he stayed away for a while. I'm glad he's back. If you don't like what he says, just pretend you didn't read it and go away.

What he's saying is that Jimbo previously had a buyout clause that said if he left for LSU, then he owed the school money. He renegotiated his contract and had that clause removed.

My guess is that since DALSU is able to comment on Jimbo, that we aren't pursuing him. The fact that he cannot comment on Herman would indicate that something is going on and he can't talk about it. Just read between the lines...

Yeah, that much is clear.

But seriously, it's very possible that Herman will also get buttfricked by Louisville later this year (it'shard to believe it will be quite as hard and fast, but we'll see). But then, he has less pro talent on his roster. Maybe that game will be the decisive test between he and Jimbo, who I'd honestly be happy with.

I think it should be. If Tom Herman (the name of my HS principal, btw) doesn't get buried under quite as big of an avalanche of TD's, I say we shower him with moolah and start looking for secret apartments for his various bitches.

This is what he is referring to. Looked in his post history

I do know jimbo first contract with fsu that if lsu came to him and wanted to hire him as the coach, lsu would not have to pay the buyout. lsu was the only school. jimbo wanted the opportunity to come here but it never happened his newest contract fsu put in clause that if lsu came calling they would have to pay 5 million because they know jimbo loves it here.

Following that logic, Jimbo wasn't pursued last year either. That would certainly contradict what DALSU said at the time.

Don't get me wrong. I do think Fisher would be a definite upgrade over Miles. I'm just not sure how much.

I think Herman is a slam dunk future superstar coach who is going to turn some major program into an absolute elite program. Depending on where that is it could be new blood or could be a resurgence of a blueblood.

Just my opinion.

It started early, in more ways than one.

I still want Chip Kelly or Tom Herman before Jimbo Fisher.

Fine. Can you tell us if that's a good thing or a bad thing?

Well, if true, that's quite something. Getting that clause removed would certainly suggest a high level of interest.

Please let it be true.

They aren't mutually exclusive. It has to do with timing, but I don't know.

Louisville might "buttfrick" everyone this year.

No, it doesn't, but I'm trying to convince myself to take what he says at face value.

It's hard to see how FSU wouldn't see the writing on the wall, if it were true.
