You can't blame Miles for Steele that hire was orchestrated by Alleva. Corey Raymond leaving LSU will leave a huge hole for LSU and an enormous opportunity for other schools to come into Louisiana because he is a recruiting fence for defensive players in Louisiana.

The only thing that Tom Herman has proven is that where ever he coaches in any capacity(WR coach, OL coach) succeedes on an unprecedented level.

Sorry, Lee is his brother at Navasota. I do that all the time.

Didn't hear that rumor hear. I heard it from a family member close to the program.

He would be a solid hire. Your recruiting wouldn't miss a beat and I think you would actually expand in Texas recruiting if you wanted/needed to.

Either way it goes...Good Luck.

Ok here is the deal. Jimbo is going through a divorce due to his wife sleeping with a black assistant coach at Florida St. This is more the reason he is ready to leave Florida St. Ed Orgeron is leaving now for the head coach at Syracuse. It's pretty much a done deal and will be announced soon. Very soon.

Wrong she was sleeping with a former Gator player Taylor Jacobs, who is a trainer now. (at least that was the rumor)

Guess i should have read all the posts. It's been answered.

Just get used to it. It's part of this "book it" gambler type of culture that hangs around this site. Everyone knows the future with absolute certainty around here. When someone sounds certain, take it with a bucket of salt.

No. Just no.

This was all Miles. Miles said so in the press conference. He knew exactly who he wanted to go after the minute Chavis left.

Would he have stayed if the assistant was white?

If you are wrong you should be permabanned. Would you be willing to place that bet? If wrong accept permabannage?

When Jimbo was let loose, our offenses were very potent ('03, and '06). Now we see what Jimbo can do with an offense, and his record with QBs is now indisputable.

I am guessing that you do realize that Miles started coaching here in '05. He had nothing to do with Jimbo being OC in '03 and '04.

Understand but Miles still had nothing to do with letting Fisher "loose" in '03 or "reigning him in" in '04. This may not be what the poster meant but this is what his post implied.

Getting the most out of players and getting them drafted higher than their physical abilities would normally suggest is pretty awesome notch on Jimbo's belt. They were all pretty damn good in college.

Hmmm...where have we heard nearly the exact same thing about a different coach, but it was construed as a bad thing????

I could see that probobly a hell of a raise and if so. I think Syracuse would be getting a heck of a coach. Dang if true sure hate to lose him but it's a no brainier decision and wish him all the luck.

I'm not trying to defend Miles' hire but what was he supposed to say:

"Well we had a want for about seven other guys but they all didn't have the chest or the furiousness to compete on the battlefield with their great group of coaches here. So this guy..um...Kevin...Steele...let's welcome him to the program."

I can get on board with this.

If we can get Jimbo I want Jimbo.

Repeat after me:

Jimbo will not be the LSU coach
Jimbo will not be the LSU coach
