That would be an upgrade over Jones
Johnson. Jones. Caldwell-Fargas.
Bad hires and then takes far too long to admit the mistake and correct it!
Joe "Snow Peas" Alleva and his low standards of excellence.

Rick Stansbury has as many NCAA tourney berths in his 14 years at MSU as JJ and Kermit have in their 35 years combined as a head coach.
Rick Stansbury at LSU would be scary, he stayed at state a few years to long but is a great gut and a very good basketball coach.
Hw owned the west while at State, I will just leave the below for consideration.
quote:
Stansbury won more SEC Championships in the last 10 years than any other SEC program except Kentucky 12. Mississippi State 8. (Florida 6) Western Conference Champion: 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2010. SEC Tournament Champion: 2002, 2009. Overall SEC Champion: 2004. Under the leadership of Stansbury, MSU's teams were always a threat in the SEC Tournament, reaching the finals of the tournament four times, winning twice. His SEC Tournament record is 16-12.
