I agree in a sense. If there is a leak, it increases the odds of the plan not working out, for obvious reasons like the other coach is still employed.
What was much more damning though was the Administration not supporting and sticking by Les the whole way. Now don't get your panties in a wad, hear me out. The admin can scheme and make backdoor deals all they wants, sure that's fine. But they also have to publicly deny it and publicly support the head coach the whole time. Not doing that give credibility to the leaks and to the false rumors.
This is why Les is so hamstrung right now. If the AD would have supported him the whole way, Les would be able to recruit better, hire from a better and bigger pool of coordinator candidates, have better control of staff and locker room.
The reason Alleva didn't stand by Les the whole time is because he was hoping that by not doing so would get enough of the boosters to come out and demand that Miles be fired. It was partially successful, but not enough to pull the trigger, which leaves us in far worse shape. IMO the best way to come back form this is to fire Alleva and bring in a new coach who at least publicly backs miles, even if he plans to fire him in 12 months.
tl;dr Alleva f'ed up by not publicly supporting Miles giving credibility to the leaks

and that odd tweet he had.
Can we discuss this? FSU definitely thought Jimbo was gone because that "rape story" doesn't just drop at the same time that they are losing their head coach. FSU was trying to dump that rape story all on Fisher.
Not too mention Fisher twice mispoke about LSU topics "Brandon Harris" instead of Treon Harris and "we always want to win the SEC" instead of ACC.
Fisher was coming.

Still sick to my stomach on what went down with this whole situation. Fisher was ours. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. My apathy is at an all time high for next year.

One of the reasons why we probably didn't get jimbo. And admins should ban the people that do it

I dont think that it would have caused a shitshow at all. Alleva back les and TD melts but the national media doesnt come down on us. Then he fires him and hires jimbo, but its like riping off a bandaid, do it all at once dont let it linger for 3 weeks and have people speculate the while time.

Yeah cause Jimbo reads tigerdroppings

So, TD is the reason LSU didn't get Jimbo?

I thought it was your AD that leaked that info?
