I'm convinced the O crowd would choose him over Saban at this point

Their heels are dug in so far right now there is no turning back. How anybody could not want Jimbo Fisher is beyond me. Our Achilles heel has been qb for what seems like an eternity and that could be erased with Fisher.

I didn't see Saban take over for a team this year and lead them to 4 wins against bottom 30 defenses.

You know, lots of people don't want O, don't want Jimbo, don't want Fleck, don't want Herman or Fedora....so until the deal is done, and the guy who gets it succeeds or fails, your opinion and anyone else's is just that. Opinion. Yours is as valid as mine. Have a great day. And PS- I want Jimbo and if he turns it down I want Coach O.

It doesn't matter who the next coach is. As soon as Jimbo loses a game, the "O" crowd will say "I told you so!"

Yep. Emotion defying logic is a powerful force that even defies reality.

That actually might be an exaggeration - I hope.

But I understand where you are going with this and you probably are close! I would say they might take Coach Oeaux over Meyer!!

LSU fans are the worst in the country about being so focused on the here and now that they can't be future-minded.

All that matters is what's happening at this moment, and they clamor for keeping the guy who they perceive is bringing it to them. They totally ignore the fact that almost all the pieces were already in place for success before this season started.

They will be the first ones scratching their heads and wondering what happened if they get their wish and later the losses start piling up, and they'll look for someone else to blame it on besides their golden boy.

They would "he's a better fit" and a better motivator "Bama's teams are too business like"

I swear I think I think half of these posters are Derek Ponamsky.

I think there would be some who try to find excuses to keep O even if we could get Saban. I have no doubt.
