I said Jimbo was in and we'd land him. And I was only half right. And that's not good enough. Jimbo WAS in and ready. LSU higher ups got cold feet at the very last minute...and called the deal off. The price tag was too high when it came down to it. I'll admit tho, I claimed he'd be the guy in 16 and I was wrong. If you think, however, that I was trolling the whole time and Jimbo was never in play...then you are sorely mistaken. I apologize tho for the outcome. I still stand by my ppl and their information. I deserve the ridicule I have received and will continue to receive. Hopefully no hard feelings. I promise I was as shocked as anyone about how it went down.

IN

And thanks for the info regardless of what idiots might say

Now can you find out if the boosters want rid of Alexander and/or Alleva.

I think LSU is screwed until that happens

Lesson learned, never say done deal when it comes to handshake deals.

I don't think anyone believes you intentionally mislead folks.

Price tag of what?

You have to figure you are going to pay about a million over the FSU salary to get him. Was Miles' buyout too much?

You still buga, dog. No one knew LSU's political roots would prevail. Those were presumed squashed. Dark day for the university.

Saban was run off in a similar way as LSU ran Jimbo off. From the inside

Appreciate and accept your apology, though I don't think your facts were purposely misleading.

I believe your statements were going to be proven correct. King wimped out and the wheels that were in motion stopped abruptly.

We should all learn to say "all indications lead me to understand that LSU's plan is to...."

From what I was told, Fisher's final number was 7 million per year with some serious bonuses and guarantees. That's a pretty steep number for an ACC coach. I can understand why they balked.

have you ever considered that YOU were duped, man. maybe, just maybe, your "sources" really didn't know and you all just believed what YOU WANTED TO BELIEVE.

you are standing by your people. cool. but I wouldn't be betting money on them in the future. they have PROVEN they are unreliable. not saying it was intentional, they WANTED TO BELIEVE IT TOO.

What you don't understand is that was totally real, it WAS happening, done deal, hands shook. And then at the last second there was an unforeseen snag, a technicality that blew it all up. We were so close. And that's what will happen with Jimbo too.

No apology necessary for me, my friend. I appreciated the info, and more importantly I believed you. No regrets here. You did nothing wrong in my opinion. You were right. Jimbo was on the hook, and F King let him off. Thanks for your info bro!

No apology required. Keep up the great insight. When politics are involved, logic goes out the window.
