I think the contract only counts base pay, so the money spent buying up all the markers on Saban's dumb investments won't apply.

LSU board is not going to approve a $10 million contract for Miles, they'll rework the contract and I'm sure as soon as Saban signs that deal they will be adding a clause to Miles' contract that would preclude LSU from paying that much money for a football coach.
