If I was Mizzou or USCe I would hire Les

Quickly if he is fired. You can't go wrong.

I can't imagine how bad he would do with a team that doesn't come close to the talent level of LSU.

He does fine until the LSU fan base melts over the annual loss to Alabama. Basically at LSU you have Playoffs or bust, and when you get eliminated from the playoffs, the season is deamed over and a lost cause. You ever think what effect this has on the coaches and players?
I think Miles would thrive in an environment where the fan base doesn't expect National Titles every year.

I'd take Miles in a heartbeat.

Well with Herman likely coming here I definitely rather have youth on our side, but Miles wouldn't do bad here.
Why don't you? Age? Not like it's going to happen anyway.

Les would be just another in the long line of coaches who have won a natty somewhere else and parlayed that into the opportunity to retire on the backs of the taxpayers of South Carolina.
I'd rather swing and miss with a young guy this time. Next hire after that can be back to the retirement home.

This was true in 2012, but not any of the other years. The only real shock this year, which really shouldn't have been surprising, is that Les went into Tuscaloosa with the same exact game plan that he has used the previous 6 times against Alabama. Les has been trying to beat Saban 9-6 ever since that game. The fact that it was obvious after a quarter that LSU's o-line was greatly overmatched, and Les never adjusted to try a new approach was as bad as 1-9-12.
LSU fans were all pretty optimistic after the Bama loss this year that LSU could still finish 10-1 and perhaps sneak into the playoffs. At worst, a 10-1 Sugar Bowl season would have been very exciting.
The collapse the last few games has been all on Les and the team, and not on the fans.

What was your preseason prediction of LSU? 8-4? That seemed like the popular pick, LSU has a very young team that lost a ridiculous amount of talent last year.
I'd give Les another year, if he fails next year fire him, but this year is premature.
