The minute Les makes the hire, some tool will be on here bitching that he is a dumbass. That he hired the guy because he's a bbq buddy, not the best available etc etc.

The sky is falling.

Miles has played the game and coached in the pros and in college. Translation: he knows the game. Therefore, I trust his hire. He has made some good hires in the past and some bad hires. But he knows this is a critical hire that he will be making and I expect him to make the best choice he possibly can.

If he hires Cameron instead I'd be ok with it. Otherwise I'm Fuente or bust...

Justin Fuente

Daisy Fuentes

See the difference?

Ask again in a couple of years, if he hires someone else.

If he doesn't pick him, he's a moron.

There, a preemptive strike.

As others have said, it depends on who is picked.

I would be excited about Fuente, but he is not my favorite candidate who has been mentioned.

Not me, he is interviewing these guys not me. I don't know the inside scoop on these guys strengths and weaknesses. In fact I will not completely sold on fuente. He has some major pluses and minuses. He is young and that will go over well with the players, but he has only been a play caller for 2 years as a co-coordinator, not much of a track record. You would think LSU could attract someone with a few more skins on the wall. I think he can be a great coordinator but there are alot of unknowns with his lack of experience.

Maybe Fuente will accept someone else's offer, and that would not be Miles' fault.

My fear about Fuente is that he's awfully young. 34-35....something like that. Then again.....if an NFL team (Tampa Bay) can hire a 32 year old as their head coach then who's to say what age is too young?

Would anyone trade the 2007 BCS Championship for the last four years with Gary Crowton? I would say it was a good hire, but didn't work out so well over the long run.

I'm sure that some will not wait long enough for Les to hire anyone to get pissed at him.

A reason will be found...OC or not.

We are all coaches here and we can pick a OC without the need to be in the interview process or having the chance to discuss the + or - of any guys with those who know him best.
