This fig came from Duke w/ Coach K in place and fricked up Lacrosse scandal and 2 football hires.

At LSU he's made 2 hires in CBB, Trent and CJJ. Epic fails.

I'm going to shutup and listen.

Well since Herman and Jimbo turned into major pussies and didn't wanna face Saban every year then I say we made the right hire.

Alleva is still a douche but Herman is not a man of his word.

As a long-time Alleva apologist, I'm fricking done with the guy. "I am the search" and then takes his ball and goes home the second Herman hints that he may want to negotiate or entertain other offers. What a fricking twat bag.

We don't know exactly what happened with this, but i'd error on the side of Alleva being the one that fricked it up.

Alleva got played. Period.

Every single fan on here knew Texas would come after Herman, and that Herman had at least some interest in that program.

The fact that he thought a "handshake agreement" on Wednesday would automatically translate to a contractual agreement 2 days later is stunning.

He's a complete fool.

Because every endorsement definitively confirms Coach O's ability to pass a Louisiana history exam and capture the Championship of Life.

This, man. This.

I didn't blame Alleva for last year's FKA/Miles debacle. I don't really blame him for Trent either - I think he tried to hire the right guy.

But when everything you touch turns to shite - and you have ZERO history of turning in gold - it's time to go.

I guess people will make up anything to justify this terrible hire.

He is such an amateur. A dumb one at that. Last year with that whole fiasco, so public, and our pr was hammered. This year so public and our PR got hammered THREE times (fla game, fires miles way early, and the mark may deal)
So Texas somehow goes behind doors QUIETLY and gets business done. In one day no less! Fired the coach- Bam hired their guy- done! Same day. No PR no bashing no nothing. He is an idiot

Hiring Trent and Nikki were the equivalent of hiring jimbo and Herman. They didn't pan out.

That would have been Tony Bennett at Washington State. (Now at Virginia) Ever heard of him?

He was available and could have been hired back then, but couldn't pass the Alleva sniff test and didn't get a first or second look...............

Clearly, nobody's ever apprised Joe of the old axiom about an oral agreement being worth the paper it's written on.
