I have very mixed emotions about all this crap. I like Miles and I think he is truly a good person. I hope he stays here for a while....
However, This is a huge distraction to our program at the worst possible time.
LM needs to man up and end the distraction one way or the other. If he stays, great lets win the MNC ...if he leaves lets pull together and win the MNC. Time to end all the BS.....Unfortunately I know this crap will drag on and on and on....I know all this distraction is not good for LSU's best interest. In my book if your not an asset your a liability. I fear LSU will end up in the peach/cotton bowl again because of it.

Miles hasn't done anything wrong here. Carr retired and the MEDIA has caused a distraction, not Les Miles.

most of the starters are seniors so i don't think it'll affect their focus and playing too much. it won't matter to them too much if les is here next year of not.

I am just saying LM could and should end this asap. It is only hurting LSU.

Not if a formal offer hasn't been made.

The guy can't accept a job if it isn't offered to him and he can't say he isn't interested if he is. (unless his last name is Saban)

I thought his statement in his press conf yesterday was pretty solid...

Why not just say Skip and I are working on an extension?

Because he is interested in the Michigan job.

This isn't rocket surgery.

I am just pissed. LSU is trying to win a MNC. We have a great team. LM is a very good coach with a great staff. LSU doesn't need all this garbage now. The media is turning this into a three ring circus. It is hurting our chances to win games, it is hurting our recruiting etc etc...
I just wish all the distractions would end.....I know this is gonna drag on for ever. The circus is in town.

I think Les Miles handled it the absolute best he could. You can tell this will be a tough decision no matter what that decision is (if a decision needs to be made).

I think he is as unhappy with the timing as everyone else wearing purple and gold.

I agree with you. I dont think LM is a bad person. In fact I think he is an honorable person. I agree he is not happy with the timing either..I am just want a quick resolution that hurts LSU the least. I know that isn't going to happen. I feel bad for LM....My primary concern is for LSU.

true winners don't let distractions get in their way...I doubt Dorsey, Doucet, Flynn, Hester, Steltz, et. al. will be less-focused on the task at hand.

I'm pretty pissed at Lloyd right now. The prick could've waited until after Meechigan's bowl game...

If he were going to stay he would have already made a positive commitment to LSU. Anything other than that invites the distraction that is going on - and will continue to go on until he finally announces he is taking the UM job.

There is no secret that in his heart he wants to be HC at Michigan - nothing wrong with that.

But at the moment he is the HC at LSU and he owes the kids he is now coaching - and trying to recruit - a straight up answer.

It's pretty simple really.

He should just say "This is my lifelong dream - I wish I could have finished my job here, but momma is calling and I have to go home. I love you all and good luck."

Either that, or say "Michigan doesn't want me. I have too much integrity to consider that job while I am in a critical situation at LSU. They know that. They would not want a coach who had so little commitment to his job. I am the LSU coach. period. Let's win the NC and then do it again next year. Geaux Tigers."

He made as much commitment to LSU as Rodriguez did to WV and they put RR on sports center saying he took his name off the list. That guy didn't say anything that Les didn't say.

Les made a positive commitment to LSU just listen to what he said.

Do i think he stays? no but he didn't show signs of wavering to me. Just because we think he'll go doesn't mean he's not committed.
