If they lose to Navy they won't get in a playoff. We could land Herman immediately after the season.

Being mentioned in relation to the LSU opening is like the SI curse. First FSU, now Houston. Who else's season can we tank?

I hear we've reached out to Foley, Sumlin and Saban.

He very well may be Texas'next head coach, but you people who say it like it's an absolute truth are idiots.

Texas is getting herman, not us.

More money and more familiar recruiting ground. We dont have the type of AD to reel in a homerun hire like that.

Itll be either orgeron or kiffin for us

My bigger fear is Herman takes the job at Texas and pulls someone like Aranda with him.

LSU probably be an easier job to succeed.

I'm obviously not going to complain if we land Herman.

That said.

It is somewhat concerning that he is a wee bit of a "defense optional" kinda coach.

Is there some law against attempting to be good on both sides of the ball?

I think if Herman was at a major program like LSU, he could land a quality defensive coordinator.

Oh please.

I knew someone would say such crap.

He knows how to score on good defenses with lesser talent.

Will take him with Aranda over any other combo, PERIOD.
