Todd Orlando, Houston Interim Head Coach-
He's coaching the bowl game so he has a chance to prove himself worthy of a chance at head coach. He's at really good defenses at Utah State and Houston so he might be ready for the next step.

Major Applewhite, Houston OC-
Another guy who is already on the Houston stuff. He's been an OC for many many years and he's ready to be a Head Coach. Houston is a good job to prove himself.

Lincoln Riley, Oklahoma OC-
Reminds me a lot of Tom Herman. A young up and coming OC with no Head Coaching experience. His offenses have always good, he'd just need to find a good DC and I think he'd make a very good HC.

Philip Montgomery, Tulsa Head Coach-
He's done a good job at Tulsa thus far. He has them 9-3 this year. He's a Texas guy and can recruit the state well. Also was the OC at Houston from 2005-2007.

Dana Holgorsen, West Virginia Head Coach-
I don't know how realistic this is as it would be a big step down from the Big 12 to the AAC. But he's expressed interest in leaving WVU as he refused a contract extension earlier this year. Was the Houston OC in 2008-2009.

Frank Wilson, UTSA Head Coach-
Personally I think he should stay at UTSA at least another 2 years as this was his first season as a Head Coach and would like to see how he does with his own batch of players, but you can't ignore what he did with UTSA this season. I think he should at least get an interview.

Chris Klieman, North Dakota State Head Coach-
He's done amazing at NDSU, the program is an absolute juggernaut in the FCS. I think he's happy where he is but I think he would be open to a move.

Riley or Montgomery. Really doesnt matter a whole lot though, if whoever they hire is successful, Houston will lose him in 3 years anyways. Especially if they arent in a better conference

If they over frank he should accept. It would be a solid hire for them.

I hope he's the HC at lsu 3-4 years from now

Why are they only looking at current HCs, DCs and OCs?

No positional coaches to consider?

Ha, no it isnt. The AAC (and especially UH) is light years ahead of where he is at now. That is exactly the type of leap he will make next.

Montgomery is who I said Houston should hire to replace Herman. I wish Coach O will try to convince Montgomery to become LSU OC which pays better than Tulsa's $800,000/yr salary. This guy has been with Art Briles all the way back to Art's high school coaching days.

Philip Montgomery is who Houston will hire.

Young coach and he is an Art Briles understudy.
