I think both would be good hires but, I feel helfrich's offense with a slower temp would be great for us. The passing game with his offense also looks better imo.

I don't think those offenses work at a slower tempo.

Helfrich is you want an offense that can score on Bama.

The talent pool in Louisiana, and the need to keep its best players home, might be jeopardized by hiring an air-raid styled Helfrich. JMHO. Down vote away.

Keep this in mind. There is a 2-3 year O Line transition period before we are running Helfrich's Oregon offense. Unless he shifts to a power spread, which I don't think he has ever run, there would be a difficult transition period. Honestly, some of our guys aren't even mobile and athletic enough for the power spread, but they are all a TERRIBLE fit for his spread option. Good coaches figure this stuff out, but I'm not sure if he's ever had to take on a project like that in one of his previous stops.

Oregon averaged 254 rushing yards per game under Helfrich from 2013 - 2016.

Helfrich is a spread option guy. It's about as far from what we have run lately as you can imagine.

Against who? Not SEC defenses for sure. Helfrich is much more air oriented as opposed to power spread.

No one we're even looking at runs anything close to an air raid.

Oregon threw the ball 399 times vs 491 rushes. 55% run.

Texas Tech (an ACTUAL air raid) ran the ball 37% of the time.

Facts...dont let them get in your way.
