with regards of Gary Patterson.

Its a free message board that is open to the public on scout.

The stadium was packed last night and the atmosphere was great. He has put too much into this program to let someone else reap the benefits. What connection does he have to Arky... None. I'm sorry but Arky offers nothing that TCU doesn't. Big 12 and SEC are basically the same.

Well considering how A&M couldn't anything in the Big 12 but somehow miraculously is now a bad *** in the SEC kind of makes you wonder about the strength of the two conferences. Also go to the pay site and the traffic is a lot different. If he wants a larger fan base then he could go to damn near any college in the NCAA. Why did he turn down interviews and jobs from TN, Arky, Michigan, MN, KState, Notre Dame... I am tired of arguing this point and people are going to believe what they want to believe.

I don't think he will leave to go to Arky, but he should.

Eventually he won't live up to his own standard at TCU now that they are in the Big 12. bye bye BCS bowls.

Why would he go to Arkansas? Just doesn't make sense. I could see if it he was going to make a big jump to an elite school, but going from TCU to Arkansas isn't that big of a jump that the pressure or money is worth it.

Wow, can you leap from Miami to Cuba in a single bound?

Arkie has 4x the resources and potential that TCU has. TCU REBUILT their stadium to ~47k capacity and don't sell it out. TCU hasn't beaten A&M since Richard Nixon was President.

Arkie is a much better job than TCU, which will falter having to play BCS competition every week, even if it is big twelve.

No jump at all really, going from top half in the Big 12 to middle of the road SEC team = meh based on the amount of pressure and how tough it is to win.

No, I don't thin Arkansas is that big of a jump. TCU also has a siginicantly larger endowment.

if im gary patterson, no way i leave what ive built for arkansas. hes earned tenure at TCU, hes made them a relevant brand. if he leaves, he moves into the uber competitive SEC west- which means he'll be playing LSU and bama every year, as well as a resurgent A&M squad. he'll leave a good recruiting ground for arkansas' less fertile variety. he'll have MASSIVE expectations from the woooo piiigggg soooooouie faithful.

i just dont see the appeal for him since hes turned down better jobs.

This board is full of pussies.

This has become the excuse for every coach to not take a job in the SEC.

Good god. Grow a fricking pair.

I agree, TCU is still, and will always be the Texas doormat, even though Patterson is a great, great coach.

Just because there isn't an SEC team currently ranked number one in the nation doesn't mean Big 12=SEC. Look at the top 10 BCS rankings. How many Big 12 schools are in it? Answer 1 How many SEC. Answer 6, How many Pac 12 1, How many ACC 1,and then Notre Dame. Someone other than you thinks the SEC is a higher quality football conference than the Big 12.

You could make a pretty good argument that Arkansas is the 5th best job in the SEC west ahead of only the two Mississippi schools.

I don't see him leaving TCU for Arkansas.

Except even though there are two schools in Mississippi, they still have a stronger recruiting base than Arkansas. There will never be enough talent to compete.

Hey we get it. It is your time to have hope.

Your AD will crush that hope with his actual hire soon enough.
