I know Kiffin and O have a past relationship and in theory they could combine and wreck house. I'm just not sure one could work for the other. Would O drop back to DL after being HC at LSU for 8 games? Would Kiffin make a lateral move to OC at LSU under O (who used to work for him) when he could be a head coach elsewhere?

Kiffin is a great OC but has proved time and again he is not a head coach. He wouod need to prove himself at a smaller school before making the jump.

If Kiffen wants another major HC gig, he needs to take a job at a non-Power 5 school as a HC, do a good job there, no gaffes, and then maybe someone will give him a shot.

Kiffin is likely gone after this year. Either to HC a smaller school, or OC at another big school hopefully where he'll be inline for HC gig.

Finebaum's "sick fascination " with Kiffen is exactly the same he has for Kirby Smart. He thinks that anyone Saban shites out is the next great college HC. One would think UGA will win the NC in the next yr or so. But Kiffen is getting very little national attention for whatever reason. He's not making anyone's list of candidates.

Kiffin would love to be a badass alpha like Saban, but he is not that person.
He may be a great offensive mind, he may know everything that Saban knows at this point, but he will never be Saban.
