No really.

Multiple times Fedora has been on record saying his coaching philosophy is to out-score the opponent..

That has worked wonders hasn't it? Only winning the division once, which is the worst in CFB

You are essentially trading a horrendous offense for a horrendous defense.. Spoiler alert: we're going to lose more games.

This isn't the BIG 12... Why would we hire a big 12 coach??

Main reason I wouldn't even consider the guy. His offense really puts the pressure on his own defense. When his offense faces an adequate defense you get the VA Tech game this year.

Exactly.

He has a " you don't need to stop anyone if you're offense can score every time" mentality

I'm never not saying that paranormal activity doesn't occur.

this is why he is a hard no. If we hire him then Alleva must be fired. we might as well burn down our athletic department

Big 12?? And a good DC is all he needs.. He's done a great job at north cArolina. He's won the division twice really but the first time they had post season ban. If u don't see what he's done at a program not known for winning football then you are just ignorant.. Oh and Steve spurrier had the same mind set

How do you win games if you don't outscore your opponent? You must enjoy 10 points in your last 2 home games.

I mean, he isn't going to be the DC. Aranda will be. I seriously doubt Aranda is just going to.........know what, nevermind. Idk why I'm replying to this stupid thread....

This isn't exactly true. While you could point to evidence that might suggest this based on some games, his philosophy is the same on defense as it is on offense, and that is a blitzing, relentless attack. We may not be seeing that looking at some of his games but keep in mind where he has been coaching. LSU, with Aranda and our talent access, could provide him the marriage between his offenseive and defensinve vision.

Also remember this, while I MUCH rather have a dominant defense over adominant offense, the last national championship we won was with a team whose total defense was ranked 27th in the country; good but not elite.

Defense isn't a luxury but having amazing athletes in both sides of the ball sorta is.

Very few teams have the level of talent where they can put the athletes you need on both sides the ball.

Try building a lesser talented 100% on defense and you aren't going to win as many games.
