the only think I can see is that the coach in waiting has the same agent as Miles and they will call it even

Coincidently, Gary Patterson and Miles share an agent

This. I stopped worrying when I heard the source. The only possible reason is if Alleva really is trying to run him off, in which case we need to send him back to a school where lacrosse is the second most popular sport

If true, they must have a replacement ready to roll.

I think it is a smart move. Makes the job look even more appealing to future big time coaches.

Supposedly, they are willing to drop the penalty if Les agrees to not take any of the coaching staff with him.

If the replacement is Pelini I will cry.

Seriously.

Wow! If this waiver is true, LSU really wants to get Miles out of here and not have anything screw up the Michigan deal.

Although, LSU's past exploits in Head Coaching Searches doesn't leave me confident that we are ready to roll out an "AAA+ Knock Out Hire". Maybe there is someone waiting to accept...We will see soon enough.

I call BS on this report. LSU can not give away public funds. No reason to think it, since Miles would have no connection to LSU.

If Miles isn't paid with public funds how would the buy out be public funds? Seems like that money would be returned to the same payroll pot not the State general fund.
